What makes working with me different?
Clinical Experience
I am Corissa S. Spackman, but please call me Corissa. As a Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS®) and a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), my goal is to walk alongside you on your journey to better health. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to struggle with chronic health issues, and I’m here to provide the compassionate support you need. With dual master’s degrees from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in Nutrition and Integrative Health and Health and Wellness Coaching, I’m dedicated to helping you find personalized solutions that work for your unique situation.
Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 50 clients through over 1,000 hours of clinical experience, offering not just expertise but also empathy. I know that healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all process, which is why I take the time to understand your story and your goals. I believe in the power of partnership, and together, we’ll create a sustainable path to health and wellness that aligns with your life.
As a CNS® and an NBC-HWC, my approach is rooted in evidence-based techniques and a deep understanding of clinical nutrition. However, it’s equally built on trust and compassion. Whether we’re tackling digestive issues, managing chronic pain, or supporting your mental and emotional well-being, my focus is always on helping you feel heard and supported. At Inner Radiance Nutrition LLC, I provide virtual one-on-one coaching to meet you where you are—both physically and emotionally—so you can make informed decisions, develop healthier habits, and ultimately uncover your best self.
Personal Experience
I’m Corissa, and my journey to becoming a Health and Wellness Coach and Nutritionist began with overcoming my own health struggles. As a teenager, I relied on Nexium for GERD until I discovered a more natural approach while managing a Natural and Organic Supplement Department. Drawing on my Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Wyoming, I was able to transition off Nexium, sparking my passion to help others heal beyond short-term fixes.
My healing journey inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Nutrition and Integrative Health so I could help others find lasting solutions to their health issues, just as I had done. Through my education and personal recovery, I realized the power of integrative nutrition in addressing root causes like inflammation, gut health, and stress, which transformed my own battle with eczema, IBS, anxiety, and chronic pain following hip surgery.
However, along the way, I struggled with my own limiting beliefs and motivation—wondering if I could truly find lasting relief and struggling to connect to my "why." This led me to pursue a Master’s in Health and Wellness Coaching. I realized that overcoming limiting beliefs and creating meaningful behavior change was just as important as addressing physical health. Coaching, along with therapy, helped me break free from PTSD, and now I’m dedicated to helping others do the same—helping them uncover their motivation and overcome obstacles to lasting health.
Lastly, I overcame chronic migraines and long COVID challenges that worsened my health post-surgery. Through natural remedies like ginger, feverfew, magnesium, and holistic lifestyle changes, I significantly reduced my migraines. These experiences fuel my drive to help others heal naturally and uncover long-term wellness solutions, empowering them to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. I now apply my personal experience to each client journey adding years of research to back my recommendations to you!
